The master page search control is a sharepoint delegate control and it can be overridden by deploying a custom feature where you can set properties to display scope dropdown based on a configured scope display group:

The feature element file looks like this, you can google and find complete instructions around this:

I have done this tuto and it works. the problem is that i have another search drop downlist in the top of my home page ,and it's scope list has not been modified. it always displays : This site , is there any solution to add my new scope to this dropdown list ?

Add an additional property based rule to the scope which is like

assigned to= your name

and set the behaviour to require.

Hi,

I have the following problem. In some documentcenters i added a column whitch stores the name of a person. I added this column because it was needed in our workflow. I use this column also to filter te documents by person. So that i can only view documents that are assigned to me.

The only problem that i have right now , is when i search for documents i can also view documents that are not assigned to me.

How do i configure the search so i do not see documents that are not assigned with my name??
