MOSS and WSS SP2 can break PDF searching.

It seems that MS only wants us to use the Adobe ifilter as SP2 actually hardcodes in the GUID for the Adobe ifilter.

NOTE: It does not even verify if you have that ifilter installed.

SO if you are using the modified Adobe 8/9 reader ifilter, Foxit or PDFLib.com ifilters you will need to re-install those or manually correct the GUID entries.

For many of you this is new news and have been indexing right along since installing. This means that you also need to do FULL crawls of all your content to ensure that nothing was skipped.
